The Washington State Department of Health Youth Cannabis and Commercial Tobacco Prevention Program (DOH YCCTPP) coordinates resources towards prevention and cessation of cannabis and commercial tobacco use. On the tobacco side, staff coordinate commercial tobacco prevention and cessation efforts in the state with other national, statewide, and local organizations while also distributing state and federal funding for this purpose. Regarding cannabis, staff implement the Washington Recovery Help Line, fund the non-profit Washington Poison Center (WAPC), and distribute local grants while creating prevention and education programming such as media campaigns and outreach to priority populations, including adults within cannabis retail environments.
The Washington State Department of Health is conducting focus groups to learn from current retail cannabis workers (budtenders)!
We want to know about your experience with:
- High-THC Cannabis products
- Customer interactions
- Workplace practices
Focus group info will be used to develop educational training and tools for your fellow budtenders in non-medical retail settings across Washington state. Participants will receive a $75 VISA gi card. You must be at least 21 years old and currently employed as a budtender in Washington state to participate.
