3 cannabis-related bills could join 9 others already through Monday’s cutoff deadline, and WSLCB planned to open a rulemaking project to reconsider the criminal history point system.

Monday February 15th

Monday is the House of Origin Policy Committee Cutoff, the first deadline of the 2021 Washington state legislative session. The cutoff is described as the “Last day to read in committee reports (pass bills out of committee and read them into the record on the floor) in house of origin, except House fiscal committees and Senate Ways & Means and Transportation committees.” Following a flurry of policy committee executive session activity on Monday, attention will shift to the fiscal committees in each chamber which similarly must move bills forward before the House of Origin Fiscal Committee Cutoff next Monday February 22nd.
