In an expedited process, the Washington State Department of Health proposed replacing the term 'marijuana' with 'cannabis' in response to passage of HB 1210 in 2022. Department staff also proposed other clarifying changes such as changing terms such as "gender," citations, and spellings throughout both chapters.
