The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) aims to develop programs and services to help prevent illness and injury, promote healthy places to live and work, provide information to help people make good health decisions, and ensure Washington state is prepared for emergencies.
Dr. Beatriz Carlini, PhD, MPH (Bia) is a Research Associate Professor at the Addictions, Drug and Alcohol Institute, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Carlini will present a study conducted in two Washington counties with parents who consumed cannabis and had kids living at their home. She will share the study findings on parents’ cannabis practices and associated beliefs; their interest and preferences of using storage boxes for safely securing their cannabis and how they perceive cannabis prevention messages targeting parents developed in WA and other states.
