Monday July 18th

Tuesday July 19th
WSLCB - Board Caucus
On Tuesday at 10am PT, the weekly Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) Board Caucus was scheduled to recur.

- On July 12th, Hoffman reported that Colette Holt, Colette Holt and Associates Principal and American Contract Compliance Association General Counsel, would attend the board caucus on July 19th and speak to "best practices" on implementing social equity programs as she was "a nationally recognized expert in designing and implementing similar programs."
- Board members may also be asked to consider a petition for rulemaking on curbside cannabis retail and walkup services.
- On June 7th, Policy and Rules Manager Kathy Hoffman mentioned having received “a petition for rulemaking on May 24th” to make the temporary allowance for curbside cannabis retail permanent. At that time, she planned to prepare a response to the petition for the board’s consideration on July 19th.
- When temporary allowances were discussed on May 24th, further extending curbside service was shot down by staff due to “direct conflict” with state law.
Wednesday July 20th
WSLCB - Board Meeting
On Wednesday at 10am PT, the bi-weekly WSLCB Board Meeting was scheduled to recur.

- On July 5th, Hoffman reported that staff would present their proposed response to the petition for rulemaking pertaining to curbside service “on, or about, July 20th.”
- Subsequently on July 12th, Hoffman described having received a half dozen rulemaking petitions since July 6th on “a broad range of topics" including canopy measurement.
Thursday July 21st
WTSC - Commission Meeting
On Thursday at 10am PT, the quarterly Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC) meeting was scheduled to recur.

- The Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC) is Washington state’s designated highway safety office as codified in RCW 43.59. The WTSC Director is the Governor’s Highway Safety Representative, which is a designated position each state is required to have in order to qualify for federal traffic safety funding. At publication time, the Commission was composed of ten Commissioners chaired by Washington’s Governor Jay Inslee, and supported by 29 employees.
- On July 14th, the Washington Impaired Driving Advisory Council (WIDAC) hosted its quarterly meeting to provide updates on participant efforts, discuss potential changes to council governance structures, and share data on an observed rise in traffic fatalities in the first half of the year which exceeds comparable periods dating back to at least 1994.
