On Tuesday at 10am PT, the Washington State Senate Labor and Commerce Committee (WA Senate LC) planned to convene to host interim work sessions.

- Senators planned to hear from WSLCB staff "on biometric age verification as an additional form of identification for purposes of purchasing or consuming alcohol and cannabis." This subject was presented to WSLCB regulators as an alcohol rulemaking petition during the June 27th caucus and the July 5th board meeting, but was not discussed in relation to cannabis at the time. Board members seemed inclined to ask legislators to assess this move in relation to other State efforts around biometric data and privacy before moving forward (or not).

On Tuesday at 10am PT, the weekly Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) Board Caucus was scheduled to recur.
