WSLCB - Board Caucus
On Tuesday at 10am PT, the weekly Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) Board Caucus was scheduled to recur.

- During the Tuesday August 20th caucus, agency leaders heard a comprehensive research update which explored an economics report on the Washington state cannabis sector regarding opportunity for additional licenses, plus the operating procedures and initial briefs from the Research Program.
- According to the agenda for the caucus on Tuesday, board members were scheduled to hear a briefing on an alcohol memorandum of agreement with the Sauk-Suiattle Tribe of Indians in addition to rulemaking updates in advance of the board meeting on Wednesday.
WA HCA - DBHR Listening Session
On Tuesday at 1:30pm PT, the monthly Washington State Health Care Authority (WA HCA) Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) Behavioral Health Service Provider Listening Session was scheduled to recur.

- Former Spokesman Review journalist and EverCannabis Editor Joe Butler has been organizing in-person networking opportunities for cannabis sector licensees in the Spokane area for the past several years (contact Butler directly to join his list).
- On Tuesday evening, representatives from the WSLCB planned to attend and provide an undeclared presentation. The WSLCB staffers scheduled to appear included:

- Enforcement and Education Captain Matt Murphy
- Tax and Fee Unit Supervisor Raneea Berndt
- Tax and Fee Unit Manager Meenu Thapar
- On Wednesday August 14th during the monthly WSLCB Executive Management Team meeting, agency leaders added an agenda item to hear a presentation from Education Program Manager Matt McCallum about "Prohibited Practices in Cannabis" where he documented cannabis consultant outcomes from a newly enhanced relationship between the Enforcement and Education division and the Finance audit team under Swanner (audio - 17m, video - WSLCB, video - TVW).

On Wednesday at 10am PT, the bi-weekly WSLCB Board Meeting was scheduled to recur.
