An otherwise routine post-holiday week includes the next step in a methodical push to encourage the WSLCB to distribute responsibility for generation of traceability identifiers.
Here’s a look at cannabis-related policymaking events on Cannabis Observer’s calendars in the week ahead.
Tuesday December 3rd
On Tuesday at 10am PT @ WSLCB, the weekly Board Caucus recurs.
Wednesday December 4th
On Wednesday at 1:30pm PT @ WSLCB, the three-member Board and agency leadership convene their weekly Executive Management Team (EMT) meeting.
Thursday December 5th
On Thursday at 10am PT @ WSLCB, the monthly Marijuana Traceability Project (MTP) Integrator Work Session recurs. This is not a formal public meeting, but is open to the public.
- During this call, I’ll review the outcomes from the WSLCB Traceability 2.0 Work Group informal GUID Subcommittee meeting with the wider community of third party software providers.
- This past Wednesday morning over the course of two hours, the group arrived at recommendations for a network architecture, identifier qualities, and a recommended algorithm for the autonomous generation of globally unique identifiers (GUIDs) in any future traceability system. I’m tasked with composing the group’s feedback into written form.
- After review at the Integrator Work Session, the recommendations will be shared with the Traceability 2.0 Work Group prior to their next meeting on Monday December 9th.
